Seva - In Canada before going to Prasanthi

It has been decided to adopt Ceiling on Desire as an individual Seva.

Money saved should be set aside for donation or gift as described below. Swami and His Trust knows how best it could be utilized. So we suggest the following:

  • All the savings should be collected by the Seva Team Lead of the Centre and used as suggested above.
  • Devotees who wish to make cash donations should do so to the Service Coordinator of their Centre who will keep detailed records of all such transaction.
  • The money could be transferred to the account identified by our Central Coordinator by the Service Coordinator of the Sai Centre.
  • Our Central Coordinator will present these donations to Swami on behalf of the Canadian devotees who made them.
  • All devotees should be kept aware of the status of donations and the amount of money presented to Swami.

Please note that as it is a Ceiling on Desire’s project, the donation has to come from the practice of it.

It is also suggested that each Region or Centre should consider another group Seva, which can be easily done based on their membership and experience. It could be an existing activity dedicated to Pilgrimage or a new activity. This Seva can be done a few times or at least once before we leave for India.

This will bring unity of purpose in the group and will go a long way in our prayers at His Divine Lotus Feet.

All the regions have adopted Blood Donation and Preserving Mother Nature as National Seva Projects in 2009. These will be continued in 2010. In addition COD, which is a National Project already will be emphasized at the National level in 2010, as the pilgrims chosen the same. Also many centre are doing sevas to feed the needy, help at old age home etc.

All the Pilgrims are urged to take part in their centre's seva activities and perform selfless work.
