Spiritual Activities

As we plan and prepare for this pilgrimage it is important to adhere to our daily spiritual sadhana and our spiritual activities as a group at Centre level, always keeping in mind the Nine Point Code of conduct.

Spiritual sadhana cannot be reinforced. Spiritual sadhana must arise with pure love from our heart for the Divine. Let us take the initiative to perform these few simple spiritual activities with great love.

Suggestions for Daily Spiritual Sadhana (individual basis)

  • Namasmarana, Writing Likhitha Japam in book or a paper specially printed for this purpose. The suggested mantra is "Om Sri Sai Ram" or devotees can choose their own mantra.

Devotees are requested to write the mantra 108 times every day. For children below 12 years and seniors above 65 years it could be 9 times daily. Please let us not write the mantra for the sake of writing. Let us truly reflect on the Name, i.e. the mantra in our minds and utter the Name by our mouths and then write the Name of the Lord with our hands. This will create wonderful energy and vibration and will become Likhitha Japa. These will be taken to Prasanthi Nilayam.

  • Meditation - 5 minutes daily (or longer as per individual discretion).

  • Prayer – constant conversation with Swami (as part of Nine Point Code of conduct).

  • Chanting of the Gayatri Mantra morning, afternoon and evening.

Please set up your own daily schedule for the above activities.

Group Activities at Centre Level
